My name is Galia Mincheva Chuntova-Dimitrova. I was born on 19 June 1965 in Sofia, Bulgaria. My activity as atextile decorator and artist dates back to 1979 when I started my studies at the National Highschool for Applied Arts in Sofia, Bulgaria. After that I went on to graduate from the Nikolai Pavlovich National Academy for Fine Arts in Sofia, specialty Textile, thus earning the degree of M.A.

I have taken part in numerous exhibitions, mainly in the area of designer textile and fine art. Interior textile decoration plays a cardinal role in the shaping and development of modern living space. It is my firm conviction that apart from functionality we need beauty and the touch of individuality. I strive to not only develop original textile decoration, but, in addition, to bring to life the very grace, subtlety and uniqueness in every single artefact. These works of art do serve a practical purpose but, more importantly, they convey the idea of comfort, visual delight and warmth - the things we always look for in our domestic surroundings.
